Dental lmplant are great replacement option for missing tooth or multiple teeth. Also it’s the best more secure treatment to hold dentures in place without the need for the adhesives and relines. Implants are made of titanium screws (same exact material to replace knee or hip) it has 3 parts:
  1. Titanium implant screw that is surgically placed in the bone.
  2. Abutment that will be placed over the implant after the healing of the bone.
  3. Crown that will be seated over the abutment.
Replacing teeth with dental implants has very high success rate with great outcomes. The dental implant surgery is fairly easy and simple. Proper treatment planing is critical for high success rate.
 
At our office we perform the dental implant procedure from start to finish under local anesthetics or oral sedation. CT scan of the jaws is necessary prior to implant placement followed by the placement of the implant, healing period of 3 month is necessary prior to fabricating the crown portion that will be cemented over the abutment.
